This week's tune is about California Proposition 8. The tune came about after the election last November and, while I was getting ready to get married, many people lost their right to marry the person of their choice. I've checked out the arguments for and against this measure and I can't see it any way other than a form of bigotry. Way to go backwards Cali!
On this tune I play Zach's drums again, Richie's 12-string, my guitars and this really sweet air-organ that Richie gave to Amy and I accidentally broke, I'm still mourning it's loss, R.I.P...
Here's the tune, (it's number three):

Here's the lyrics:
What does it matter to you?
You're only deciding what others will do
You say it matters to you,
But you're choosing for somebody you never knew
It's here again, yet another chance to get out of the past
But you don't go too far
A voice from the dead you hear instead of the living proof
That we make our promised land
What does it matter to you?
You're only deciding what others will do
You say it matters to you,
But you're choosing for somebody you never knew
Now, once again, you get another look outside your window
But you can't see very far
Is it the glare you couldn't stare into, blinding your
Eyes that are used to the dark
What does it matter to you?
You're only deciding what others will do
You say it matters to you,
But you're choosing for somebody you never knew
Thanks for this, Marcel. I really respect people who have a love for ALL humanity. xo!
